Hi loves! My video for you this week is a fun vlog about the Shoppers Drug Mart Be Bold With Beauty Gala, which took place on Saturday August 13, 2016 at various Shoppers Drug Marts. Shoppers Drug Mart is a Canadian Drugstore which carries various items from household products, groceries, a Beauty Boutique and much more!
This Be Bold With Beauty Gala happens every year and the tickets to attend are $10 CAD each. At this event, you are able to get a makeover done and test out any beauty products. You even get awesome beauty-filled goodie bags with any purchases and automatically get entered to win various beauty baskets by simply purchasing a ticket. These beauty baskets are pretty amazing and contain perfumes, skin care and a wide variety of makeup products! What is absolutely AMAZING about this event is that $5 of this ticket goes towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Shoppers also gives you a $5 off coupon when you purchase any beauty or makeup products that day.
As you may know, I am a radiation therapist so in my line of work I deal with fighting cancer all day everyday. This event is so dear to my heart because it blends two of my passions together: fighting cancer and makeup! To Shoppers Drug Mart, you are doing such an amazing job raising money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and I am so proud to support a company that helps create a better future.
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation stated that "The money raised in Ontario will be directed towards an online breast screening decision-aid tool, which will provide women with a personalized screening guide. Funds raised in BC will go towards three new digital mobile mammography coaches, improving accessibility to mammography for women across the province."
This was my first year attending with a few of my girlfriends and I decided to take you guys along with me! I went to the Pine Centre Shoppers Drug Mart and it was so much fun! Thank you so much to all the friendly staff - you girls were amazing! I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I did filming it. To sum it all up, I will definitely be attending next year as I had a ton of fun, while also helping to raise funds for such a great cause.
